Meet Christie Getman, DBFA Board Vice-President
Christie Getman is Senior Director of Program Performance and Quality at Mercy Corps, an international humanitarian aid and development non-profit, where she oversees program management, monitoring and evaluation, gender integration and a variety of other cross-cutting themes for programs worldwide. She has been working for international non-profits, both in the US and abroad, for over 20 years. She's lived and worked in Senegal, Mali, Sri Lanka and Thailand, and continues to support programs in more than 40 countries. In addition to her undergraduate in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond and Master’s degree in Anthropology from George Washington University, she is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley’s global Environmental Leadership Program. Christie lives in the Riverside neighborhood of South Baltimore with her husband, 8 year old son, and rescued Thai street dog. She's an active member of Fit4Mom's half marathon Run Club, regularly fosters dogs (one at a time) via the Boxer Transfer Network, and has been a member of DBFA's Board of Directors since 2015.
