Meet Ellen Krouss, DBFA Board Vice-President
After completing a Master of Social Work at University of California, Berkley, in 1999, Ellen worked in community mental health settings practicing crisis intervention, counseling and case management primarily with adults with chronic mental illness. In 2006, she chose to take time off from clinical practice and pursued an opportunity that merged a social good mission with the creativity and nimbleness of a technology start up. Over a decade later, she continued to successfully help some of the largest non-profit and mission-driven organizations by connecting them to fundraising and marketing solutions via technology products and services. Currently, Ellen works in Corporate Development at KaBOOM! - the national non-profit dedicated to ensure all kids have access to great opportunities to play. Ellen lives in South Baltimore with her husband, 5 year old daughter, and dog. Her daughter attends Thomas Johnson Elementary School. She is an avid fan of her undergrad alma mater - University of Michigan.
