The 2020 General Assembly session has begun and the time is now to advocate for turning the recommendations set out by the Kirwan Commission into statewide education policy. DBFA is encouraging our members to join Strong Schools Maryland in Annapolis for advocacy days. No experience needed, just a desire to provide a world class education to all Marylanders regardless of zip code. Training, talking points, t-shirts-everything will be provided by Strong Schools. This is a great way to jump into advocacy if you haven’t done it before! If you’re a member of a Team of 10 already thank you for your hard work these past few years. It’s because of the work that has already been done that this effort has gone this far, let’s help push it over the finish line! Can’t make it to Annapolis? Find contact information for your state legislator here and make a call, send an email, or write a letter! You can follow the school funding, and other legislation impacting Baltimore City, on the newly revamped General Assembly website.
