Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance (DBFA) was founded almost 13 years ago by three Baltimore parents who had a vision for a better and more inclusive Baltimore for all families. Since inception, DBFA has worked to deliver their mission of supporting Baltimore families by connecting communicaities and empowering families to advocate for great schools, safe streets and vibrant neighborhoods.
As DBFA continues to evolve and grow, we have taken time to reflect on our mission and how we can best support all Baltimore City families. DBFA is proud to announce our new name: BALTIMORE FAMILY ALLIANCE.
On the surface this change provides a refreshed look and feel but this change is more than a new name and logo. Our new name clarifies our vision to support Baltimore families from every corner of our great city. Our mission extends far beyond the geographical limits of the downtown area and is truly rooted in the inclusion of all families. We know that all families want what is best for their children, schools, and neighborhoods and that it will take all of us working together to make that vision a reality.
As we enter 2021, Baltimore Family Alliance will continue to find innovative solutions to provide programming virtually and begin plans to develop in-person programming, once safe, that expand beyond Downtown Baltimore to provide greater impact.
We invite all Baltimore Families to engage with Baltimore Family Alliance and celebrate our refreshed vision on social media with #baltimorefamilies. Stay up to date on all Baltimore Family Alliance news and events by signing up here.
